This site is four hand-written files on a small Debian server. No generator, no framework, no build step.

Markup

Plain HTML5, one page per file, ordinary links.

Type

Whatever old-style serif your system already has — Iowan Old Style, Palatino, or Georgia. Nothing is downloaded.

Stylesheet

One external file, about eighty lines, with a dark palette that follows your system preference.

Serving

Caddy in front, automatic certificates from Let's Encrypt, HTTP/2.

Writing

vim over ssh, usually between one and three in the morning.

Corrections

Entries are edited in place when they turn out to be wrong. There is no archive of the mistakes, which is a deliberate and slightly cowardly choice.
